Kentucky Walking Food Tour Now Offered on Sundays

A culinary adventure that’s fun for everyone!

Lexington, KY (Vocus) October 12, 2010

The only walking food tour in Lexington, Kentucky, has now added tours on Sunday afternoons. The most interesting downtown tour available, Bleu Plate Tours has continuously sold out of the Saturday morning events. In response, the Sunday afternoon tour has been added.

“In discussions with the hotel/B&B and other hospitality representatives with whom I have relationships, I have learned that there are few attractions and events to refer travelers to on Sundays,” said Laura Mize, Tour Operator/Owner. “By opening a Sunday tour, this gives the hospitality representatives a quality, interesting activity to refer their guests.”

The Sunday tour, beginning at 1:30 p.m., is around 1.4 miles in length and takes approximately 3 hours to complete. The tour is guided and includes stops at six different restaurants for a sampling of the food they offer. “The Sunday tour stops are different from the Saturday morning tour stops,” said Mize. “In addition to great food, the tour guests learn about Lexington history, hot spots, hidden gems and get acclaimated to the downtown area.

The tours are seasonal and are offered through October 31, 2010, resuming in April, 2011.
