Chicago Food Tours from Chicago Food Planet

Walking Tours | Posted by admin July 31st, 2011

Chicago Food Planet specializes in Chicago Food Tours through Chicago’s most historic, delicious neighborhoods. Suitable for all age groups and fitness levels, our 3-hour “non-touristy” experiences are enjoyed by native Chicagoans and visitors alike. All food tours include mouth-watering food tastings, enough for lunch, from historic “mom and pop” specialty food stores and one-of-a-kind ethnic eateries while offering a narrated glimpse into Chicago’s rich history, treasured architecture, and dazzling restaurant recommendations. We bring to life the local artisans and their foods that are revered throughout Chicago as we emphasize the histories of backdoor venues, hidden parks, and historic homes off-the-beaten-path. Chicago Food Planet Food Tours operate in Downtown Chicago neighborhoods near tourist attractions including Navy Pier, Grant Park, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue, Hyde Park, Chicago River, Field Museum and Sears Tower. Our Chicago food and culinary walking tours start and end within blocks of the Chicago CTA “L” trains which access O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport into the Chicago Loop. Our widely popular Chicago tours focus on the best Windy City restaurants near Chicago neighborhoods including Chinatown, Greektown, Andersonville, Lincoln Square, Lakeview, West Loop, Ukranian Village, Lincoln Park, Old Town, Gold Coast, Bucktown and Wicker Park.

Entry from: Seville, Spain Entry Title: “Walking Tour” Entry: “This morning the hostel had organised a walking tour of the city. So for the next 2 hours I followed the guide around the city and tried to remember all the information she told us. The hi-lighted of the tour was approaching Plaza de Espana. Here there is a huge semi-circular building, a large fountain and ac****. It was built in 1929. There is heaps of tile work, quite colourful. It was now siesta time, need a rest, its a bit too hot to be outside and all the shops were shut. Relaxed at the apartment for a while and then went to the Alcazar. The Alcazar is near the cathedral and is where many kings and rulers lived.” Read and see more at: www.travelpod.com Photos from this trip: 1. “City hall” 2. “Colourful tiles” 3. “Plaza de Espana” 4. “Tower” 5. “Me” 6. “Tiles” 7. “Building” 8. “Through the arches” 9. “Alcazar” See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com
